Silicon Carbide is an excellent medium for refractories, boasting low coefficient of expansion, chemical inertness, corrosive resistance, and heat resistance. These qualities make it ideal for producing bonded refractory products such as furnace linings, incinerator linings, kiln furniture, fire bricks, refractory cement, and electric heating elements.
Metallurgical silicon carbide, with its low nitrogen and sulfur content, is a superior material for various iron production processes. It can be used in steel production as a solid fuel to replace hot metal or adjust temperature, providing good protection to the metal and enhancing the working life of incinerator linings.
In blast furnaces, silicon carbide increases process efficiency by serving as an additional heat source. Our silicon carbide products come in various compositions ranging from 98% to 60%, with grit sizes including 0-10mm, 0-5mm, 0-3mm, 0-1mm, and 0-200#, among others.
